The terminal's Verix multi-app architecture securely runs payment and value- added applications, adding further flexibility. Transaction times can be cut to seconds and downloads are streamlined by the “always on,” connectivity supported by IP-based networks. This makes the Omni 3600 perfect for any business on the move.
The terminal is compact and lightweight, yet tough enough to withstand the hazards of portability—getting knocked around and even dropped at times. The Omni 3600 features a powerful 32-bit processor, built-in mag-stripe and smart card readers, an internal PIN pad, and a high-speed thermal printer. Its ATM-style interface makes it easy to use—minimizing training and help desk time. The Omni 3600 is EMV and PED certified, supports IP and WAP standards, end-to-end SSL security, and 3DES encryption, so transactions are secure and merchants need not worry about keeping up with evolving technologies and mandates.
