The Nurit 8020 or 8000S operates on AT&T/Cingular's GPRS wireless network. The wireless Nurit 8020 is the PCI-PED approved replacement to the Nurit 8000. It has a clear white backlit screen and a new compact design, but otherwise is nearly identical to the 8000.

The Nurit 8020 includes a built-in printer, internal PINpad, and signature capturing screen. The Nurit 8020 offers the technology and features merchants need, in a reliable terminal that will last for years, and a price that most can afford. We recommend this terminal for wireless processing above all others currently in production.

Please note: Verifone does not label Nurit 8020 versions any different from each other. If you order a Nurit 8020 GPRS, rest assured that it is the GPRS version, but the manufacturer does not print anything on the terminal or the box to indicate this.

A backlit keyboard and large graphical backlit display are easy to read in the dark, and an optional intuitive touch screen interface makes learning and operating easy. Customer-activated operation means consumers hang onto their cards. Built-in PIN pad and optional smart card reader protects both you and your customers. Optional Infra-Red port. Can handle multiple payment types.

The NURIT 8000 is a flexible, lightweight, handheld terminal that enables fast, secure, error-free transactions for on-the-go merchants. The sophisticated multi-application platform supports a range of payment & value-added services - including credit, debit, T&E, EBT, smart cards, prepaid, loyalty, gift & proprietary cards - as well as business management solutions such as inventory control, dispatch, delivery, etc. The unit supports a variety of cellular networks, including GSM/GPRS, Mobitex, CDPD, DataTac, and CDMA. The terminal includes an easy-to-load thermal printer, a touch screen, built-in PIN Pad, and EMV smart card reader.
